Spectra Vs. Mono Furled Tenkara Lines

Here’s a quick video showing how the new Spectra furled lines from Tenkara USA don’t tangle after being snagged like the traditional monofilament furled lines did.

  1. I used the new TUSA spectra furled line this fall and I have been very pleased. Thanks for the video, nice job.

Do you feel there would be any benefit to adding/using a tippet ring with the new spectra furled lines?

      Hi Thom,

It depends on which kind of knot you prefer to connect the tippet. Some poeple like a loop-to-loop knot and some prefer a clinch or Trilene knot. Personally, I think there’s not much of a difference. Just depends on what knot you’re more comfortable with.

  2. Thanks Jason, great to get a demo prior to buying

Thanks Andy. The new lines really make a big difference in cutting down on the frustration level when you get snagged.
