Jason is an avid fly angler and backpacker. As a former fly fishing guide originally from Western New York, he moved to Colorado and became an early adopter of tenkara which perfectly suited the small, high altitude streams and lakes there. He has not fished a Western-style fly rod for trout since.

    Love your blog. Liked you on Facebook, got my fingers crossed for a fly box. Thanks for all of the information you provide. I just bought a Tenkara rod and have been out a couple times. It is really a fun way to fish. I am hoping I figure out how to actually land a fish I hook soon. I have lost quite a few, because I haven’t figured out that part yet. :-(
