Tenkara Memes Round 5

February 26, 20196 CommentsHumorBy Jason Klass

I don’t know about you, but right now I’m in fishing limbo. The few days I do get off from work are consumed by life obligations and even if I could get out, my local streams are iced over–with only narrow slots of open water lined with desperate anglers competing to get a drift without snagging miniature icebergs. So it’s times like these I like to at least try to do fishing-related things like tie flies, write, or … something utterly stupid like create a bunch of tenkara memes like the ones below. For those of us with cabin fever or feeling the tensions of online discussions, I think it’s important to bring some levity to our sport every once in a while. So, I hope one or two of them bring a small smile to your face.

About the author

Jason Klass

Jason is an avid fly angler and backpacker. As a former fly fishing guide originally from Western New York, he moved to Colorado and became an early adopter of tenkara which perfectly suited the small, high altitude streams and lakes there. He has not fished a Western-style fly rod for trout since.

Haha! I don’t do memes much, but these gave me a chuckle. Up here in MT we have had a major cold session, even the big rivers that are legal are iced all the way over. Keep on looking ahead to March and onward…

I had to pull over and text you last night that I damned near choked while laughing so hard at these… I know now not to drive and read your blog. Very dangerous.
